QUERENCIA and LIQUID SUNSHINE were nervous in the stalls. COSMIC LOVE and MISS ORANGE were slow away and lost 1 length respectively. POMODORO EXPRESS was nervous in the stalls, slow away and lost 1 length. HALLO ROSIE jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls and was slow into stride. COSMIC LOVE over-raced in the middle stages. Jockey Cheyne reported that FIRST CHARM made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. Apprentice Mphanya reported that POMODORO EXPRESS was not striding out freely in the running. When afforded the opportunity to take the Board through his ride in this race besides what he has already reported to the Veterinary Surgeon, Jockey Cheyne explained to the Board that he has given this filly every opportunity in the race and turning for home, his mount had a clear run and as he started picking her up, FIRST CHARM started making severely respiratory noise and lacked a turn of foot as this filly struggled to breath. Trainer Kotzen was questioned with regards to QUERENCIA's improved performance. MISS ORANGE and QUERENCIA were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. COSMIC LOVE raced equipped a tongue tie. Vet: RED FOREST - wounds, bleeding old wound. QUERENCIA and FIRST CHARM - abnormal respiratory noise. POMODORO EXPRESS - abnormal respiratory noise and not striding out in front.
