THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Leaving the starting stalls SING FOR WINTER (A Mgudlwa) was carried in by LEOPARD LADY (N Patel) which jumped in, bumping BLAZING ASTUTE (T Godden). b) TWO MINDS (L Tarentaal) was hanging out from the 500m. c) MEL'S PRINCESS (*R A Venniker) was hanging in from the 300m. d) SEA GODDESS (J Gates) was hanging out in the concluding stages. e) Apprentice S Hlengwa reported that WHISPERING GREEN took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) Jockey C F Dicken (ESCAPOLOGIST) reported he felt something amiss with this filly in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) Jockey T Gooden reported that BLAZING ASTUTE faltered in the running.
