THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PRINCESS ILARIA (N Klink) stumbled leaving the stalls. b) NATIONAL STAR (*S Sosibo) was slow losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) A race review was called into the start of this race with regards to PRINCESS ILARIA (N Klink) in stall gate 6 and it was established that as the start was effected, this filly nudged the front gates which accelerated the gates to open fractionally earlier than the other gates. Thereafter, PRINCESS ILARIA stumbled badly leaving the stalls. The Board was satisfied that it was a fair start and took no further action. b) PRINCESS OZMA (K Matsunyane) hung in from the 400m. c) Jockey R Fourie reported that DEFENDER OF RIGHTS did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Jockey C Maujean reported that SKYFULL did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) Apprentice M K Katjedi reported that RUN FOR ISLA did not stride out freely in running.
