THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MY BOY REECEY (Y Ramzan) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) ESSOS (S Khathi) raced wide without cover throughout. b) Jockey W Agrella reported that GUY ALEXANDER failed to respond to his urgings in the straight and he did not persevere with his riding from the 100m. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this colt. c) Jockey D Ashby reported that SUPER HANDSOME did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) Jockey X Ndlovu reported that MINGSHI, which gave ground quickly to the field from the 600m, made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) MATSUYAMO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
