THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) FIRE GLOW (JP van der Merwe) refused to load and was withdrawn, causing a delay.
b) BACK FOR MORE (R Fourie) was stubborn loading, nervous in the stalls and jumped slow, losing two lengths.
c) STAGE PLAY (W Agrella) was nervous in the stalls and jumped slow, losing one length.
d) CAMARA GREEN (R Munger) jumped slow, losing two lengths.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) EXCLUSIVELY YOURS (D Ashby) raced green.
b) In view of the performance of FIRST MINISTER (S Khumalo) (Betting 6/1; Distance 8.50 lengths), which raced green, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
c) Jockey S Khathi reported that ROSA ROSSA did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
d) In view of the report from the starter regarding FIRE GLOW (JP van der Merwe), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 14 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load with a companion. Suspension dates: 04/03/2023 to 17/03/2023 inclusive). FIRE GLOW may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
e) MARSHMALLOW, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JP Nel was advised. (LM)
