THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ALLTHEWAYFROMUSA (*M K Katjedi) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. b) GREAT AFFAIR (*R A Venniker) and ROSY LEMON (C F Dicken) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) UNDERSTATED (*P Mxoli) hung in from the 400m, b) Approaching the 200m, Jockey C F Dicken was dislodged from ROSY LEMON, which stumbled and fell for no apparent reason. In view of this incident, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Jockey C F Dicken was attended to by the medical staff on course, transported to the medical centre for further assessment and thereafter dispatched to hospital for x-rays and further examination. The course manager inspected this area at the request of the Stipendiary Board and found nothing untoward with the track. c) Apprentice R A Venniker, the rider of GREAT AFFAIR, accidentally dropped her crop at the 200m. d) Apprentice S Hlengwa rode his 40th winner and will now claim a 1,5kg allowance, effective from 10 March 2023. e) ABSOLUTE VALUE (*S Hlengwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F P Habib advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) ROSY LEMON raced with a tongue tie on (declared 8 March 2023 at 09H52).
