THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SPLASH OF GREEN (JP van der Merwe) kicked the back gates in the starting stalls, was taken out, examined by the course veterinary surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded. b) FEELING FOXY (T Gould) was stubborn loading and nervous in the stalls. c) BOUQUET (K Minnie) stood awkwardly in the stalls and jumped slow, losing one length. d) MISS UNITED STATES (K Steyn) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey JP van der Merwe reported that SPLASH OF GREEN did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) Jockey S Khumalo reported that BABYITSCOLDOUTSIDE, which tired quickly from the 200m, changed stride continually in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey K Minnie reported that BOUQUET changed stride continually in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) QUICK COUNT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
