MISSION BEACH lost 1 length. ELUSIVE TREASURE and RULE OF LAW were both slow into stride. CAPTIVE GOLD was restless in the stalls. RULE OF LAW was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. RULE OF LAW was hanging in throughout, was difficult to assist and shifted in near the 300 metre mark despite of efforts of Jockey Veale resulting in MISS CHARLOTTE and PAPER VALLERINA being cramped and carried inwards. Thereafter RULE OF LAW shifted in slightly near the 200 metre mark, resulting in PAPER BALLERINA being cramped and MISS CHARLOTTE being cramped and eased. A race review was called by a member of the Stipendiary Board into this incident and after viewing the patrol videos from the various angles as well as the distance between these runners at the finish, no further action was taken. Jockey Veale, the rider of RULE OF LAW, appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and after hearing his explanation and reviewing the patrol video the Board was satisfied that this incident did not constitute a riding offence and therefore took no further action. ELUSIVE TREASURE was hanging in throughout. CAPTIVE GOLD and TUSSIE-MUSSIE both raced green. In view of the performance of LADY CAROLINE LAMB, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Jockey Moodley reported SEEKING ALEXIS took no interest in running. PAPER BALLERINA raced with her tongue tied down. Vet: SEEKING ALEXIS and LADY CAROLINE LAMB - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: CLASS OF EIGHT - insufficient recovery time.
