THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) PRIYA'S TREASURE (+S Myendeki) reared as the start was effected resulting in this filly losing many lengths. The starting stall certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. Trainer P F Matchett was advised (GT).
b) MAITH AN CAILIN (+S Mosia) was slow losing five lengths. The starting stall certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. Trainer R Klaasen was advised (GT).
c) DAME COLLEEN (+T Matsoele) was slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) IMPRESSION (+C Mabaya) over-raced in the early and middle stages and thereafter commenced to give ground to the field from the 300m. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
b) The saddle on IMPRESSION (+C Mabaya) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by an Official.
c) In the concluding stages, IMPRESSION (+C Mabaya) was carried in by DUSKY ROSE (+W van Staden), which hung in from the 200m.
d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to PRIYA'S TREASURE, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping on terms with a companion.
Suspension dates: 24 March 2023 to 30 March 2023. PRIYA'S TREASURE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer P F Matchett was advised.
e) In view of the Starter's report with regard to MAITH AN CAILIN, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping on terms with a companion.
Suspension dates: 24 March 2023 to 30 March 2023. MAITH AN CAILIN may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer R Klaasen was advised.
f) MAITH AN CAILIN (+S Mosia), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.

a) IMPRESSION examined post race, nothing obvious detected.
b) PRIYA'S TREASURE not striding out right front; abrasion on the left shoulder.
