THE STARTER REPORTED: a) INGAKARA (M V'Rensburg) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Entering the straight, INGAKARA (M V'Rensburg), which was hanging in, was carried out by CORSICAN (C Maujean) which was directed out away from the heels of a tiring BARBATTI (T Godden), and into clear running on the latter part of the turn. b) Jockey T Godden reported that he felt something amiss with BARBATTI and as a result did not persevere with his riding in the straight. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Assistant Trainer M Clarke acting on behalf of Trainer G B Puller was asked to report back on the condition of this gelding on return to stables. c) In view of the performance of LUCIA POPPOVA (S Veale) (21.00 lengths, 40/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) ZAKHO (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Wright advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) FORWARD SPELL raced with a cornell collar (advised 10.11.2022). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
