THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start JUSTFORTHEEPENNY (K Matsunyane) was squeezed out between LUCKY DOLLAR (T Godden) and TWICE AS PERFECT (B Jacobson) which jumped out. b) An Inquiry will be opened in order to establish why JUSTFORTHEEPENNY (K Matsunyane) had to ease at the 100m. c) Jockey T Godden signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, (guideline M), in that he mis-used his crop by striking the horse LUCKY DOLLAR more than 12 times in the entire race. In assessing penalty, the Board considered the number of times (13) Jockey T Godden struck the horse LUCKY DOLLAR, and his record (0) in relation to this Rule. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R750 was imposed. d) Assistant Trainer T Fripp acting on behalf of Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of rule 38.3 in that he failed to ensure that the passport for TWICE AS PERFECT was made available for inspection 60 minutes prior to this race. Accordingly a penalty of a fine of R500 was imposed. e) MONEY HEIST (A Mgudlwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) advised (NS).
