THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the first load, HAPPY VIBES (G Pieterse) broke through the front gate which resulted in a false start being called. b) During the second load, HAPPY VIBES was unruly and refused to load. The Starting Stall Certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. c) FULL GO (D Schwarz) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In view of the Starter's report with regard to HAPPY VIBES, this filly has been suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping on terms with a companion. Suspension dates: 2 April 2023 to 8 April 2023. HAPPY VIBES may not be presented for repassing during this period. Trainer P F Matchett advised (GT). b) Jockey A Domeyer did not persevere with his riding from the 200m, thereafter he reported that he felt something amiss with SAGAN in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) COSMIC STAR (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee M Boya advised (MdP).
