THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LADY ELLIOT (M Yeni) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) CULLINAN BLUE (K Matsunyane) and NAKA ISLAND (K de Melo) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) MARY'S GREENLIGHT (C Zackey), which rolled in from the 300m, shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. b) Shortly before the finish, Jockey M Yeni, the rider of LADY ELLIOT, got his crop entangled in his left-side rein. c) MOVING IN (G Lerena) shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. d) Jockey D Schwarz reported that ARCTIC COMMANDER did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) Jockey K de Melo was charged with a contravention of Rule 56.2.4 in that he took a cell phone into the jockey's quarters. Jockey K de Melo signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R2500 was imposed. f) CULLINAN BLUE (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer J Crawford, acting on behalf of Trainer B Crawford, was advised (MduP). g) MARY'S GREENLIGHT (C Zackey), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
