THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DREAMLAND (K de Melo) and JUST VAR (*K A Brewer) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 1000m, ELASTIC MAN (*D B Geerthsen), which commenced to over-race, was steadied and directed outwards to avoid the heels of ZINOVI (K Matsunyane), which was taken back for a stride to avoid the heels of LINKIN NAVIGATOR (G Lerena), which rolled in. As a consequence, FEEL ALL RIGHT (Wes Marwing) was carried outwards by ELASTIC MAN (*D B Geerthsen), resulting in ELASTIC MAN (*D B Geerthsen) and FEEL ALL RIGHT (Wes Marwing) racing wide around the turn. b) Leaving the 300m, WE ARE THE LOGANS (D Schwarz) was switched out to avoid running onto the heels of DAMOSTAR (R Munger), which was carried out marginally by JUST VAR (*K A Brewer). c) Jockey R Munger's (DAMOSTAR) crop was accidentally struck from his grasp by Jockey Wes Marwing (FEEL ALL RIGHT) at the 150m. d) Jockey M Yeni reported that MAJESTIC TOUCH made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. e) ZINOVI (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
