THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SILVERLINKS (M Yeni) was stubborn loading. b) HAZY CRAZY NIGHT (S Khumalo) jumped outwards, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 300m MEDLERS TART (L Mxothwa) was momentarily inconvenienced when unable to secure a clear run between VIRGINIA SWEET (A Arries) and SILVERLINKS (M Yeni) when both horses shifted ground marginally. b) Leaving the 100m SILVERLINKS (M Yeni) was carried out marginally by VIRGINIA SWEET (A Arries) which shifted out away from the crop. Jockey A Arries appeared before the Board and was advised that in similar circumstances the Stewards expected him to straighten his mounts sooner than he had done on this occasion. c) Jockey R Fourie reported that DOUBLE DESTINY did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) MEDLERS TART (L Mxothwa) returned suffering from a unilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1.
