THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ROYAL OASIS (C Zackey) was restless in the stalls. Trainer C M Bestel was advised to re-school this filly (SN). b) KILEIGH'S FATE (*R A Venniker) was restless and dropped its head in the stalls. Lost 2 lengths. Trainer M L Roberts was advised to re-school this mare (SN). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At approximately the 250m CAPRIANA (S Moodley) which shifted in away from the crop and PERFECT APPEAL (R Khathi) which shifted out away from the crop, came together and brushed. b) In the concluding stages TABATHA CAT (M Yeni) was carried out marginally by PERFECT APPEAL (R Khathi) which shifted out away from the crop and was straightened. c) POPPY OF BAYEUX (C Maujean) was hanging in, in the concluding stages. d) Trainer C M Bestel signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 8.3.1, in that she failed to ensure that the owner's colours were available for the horse ROYAL OASIS. Accordingly, a penalty of a warning was imposed. e) CAPRIANA (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Hewitson advised (NS).
