THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 50m SUPREME DREAM (L Mxothwa), which was hanging in, shifted in and had to be straightened away from the heels of SUMMER NIGHT CITY (A Arries). b) Jockey JP van der Merwe reported that he felt something amiss with JEWLRAY and he eased this filly out of the race from the 400m. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine JEWLRAY. c) In view of the performance of DEFINING MOMENT (D Ashby), which raced wide without cover on the turn and into the straight, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) ROYAL INVITATION, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised.
