THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In view of the performance of ORIGAMI (R Fourie), which over raced in the early stages, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) In view of the performance of GUY ALEXANDER (T Gould), which raced to the front of the field in the early and middle stages and failed to respond to the rider's urgings in the straight, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this colt. c) Jockey R Munger reported that MAGNUM FIRE took no interest in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) AMERICAN LANDING, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
