THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STRIKE A MATCH (*P Mxoli) was squeezed out shortly after the start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey G Lerena felt something amiss with SUPER AGRA in running and eased this gelding out of the race from the 200m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer C J Lensley was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of SUPER AGRA on return to stables b) Jockey D Schwarz, the rider of AUSSENKEHR, accidentally dropped his crop shortly before the finish line. c) Apprentice D B Geerthsen reported that GIMME ROYALTY took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) AUSSENKEHR (D Schwarz), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A P Peter advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) GIMME ROYALTY: Apprentice D B Geerthsen weighed out at 51,2kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight only claiming 1kg of his 2,5kg allowance of which 1kg of overweight was declared.
