THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process BRIDGERTON (M Yeni), which was stubborn loading, dislodged Jockey M Yeni and bolted the course. Thereafter, BRIDGERTON (M Yeni) proved difficult to take in hand and was subsequently withdrawn, causing a lengthy delay. b) SUMMER ODYSSEY (T Gould) kicked the back gates in the starting stalls, was taken out, examined by the course veterinary surgeon and withdrawn. c) AADEHYA (Y Ramzan) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In view of the report from the starter regarding BRIDGERTON (M Yeni), this colt's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to load with a companion. Suspension dates: 22/04/2023 to 28/04/2023 inclusive). BRIDGERTON may not be presented for re-passing during this period. b) VISION OF WONDER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer DG Smith, acting on behalf of Trainer GD Smith, was advised.
