THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DIESEL AND DUST (*P Mxoli) was stubborn loading. b) PYROMANIAC (G Lerena) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 400m, PYROMANIAC (G Lerena) jumped a patch and thereafter took an awkward stride. b) DIESEL AND DUST (*P Mxoli) shifted in away from the crop from the 150m. c) Jockey R Danielson reported that ARGO ALLEY changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) DIESEL AND DUST (*P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
