THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ROGUE MALE (+Z Matwa), THIS TIME ROUND (+M Naki) and THALIA'S GALAXY (+L Thanda) were stubborn loading. b) STEALING THE MOON (+MZ Naki) was nervous in the stalls and jumped slow, losing two lengths. c) GREEK MAFIA (+TG Mogalatladi) was nervous in the stalls, jumped awkwardly and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Steady rain fell prior to and during the running of this race. b) Leaving the 150m Work Rider A Gwadiso became momentarily unbalanced when WESTERN JACK, which showed a tendency to hang in, took an awkward stride. c) Trainer Z Oosthuizen was charged with a contravention of Rule 11.2.8 in that he presented STEALING THE MOON incorrectly equipped in the parade ring. Trainer Z Oosthuizen signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R250.00. d) Work Rider TG Mogalatladi was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on GREEK MAFIA. Work Rider Mogalatladi signed an admission of guilt and is suspended for 1 Work Riders race. Work Rider Mogalatladi has been advised that he needs to satisfy the Stewards that he is able to draw the correct weight prior to accepting rides in races. e) SUCCESSFUL LADY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GD Smith was advised.
