THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TERRA TIME (C Zackey) stumbled leaving the stalls. b) SIMPLE SIMPLE (*K A Brewer) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) QUEEN OF SMOKE (D De Gouveia) was slow losing one length. d) EMERALD PRINCESS (K Matsunyane) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) QUEEN OF SHADOWS (M Yeni) was bumped in by SIMPLE SIMPLE (*K A Brewer), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) TIPSY TARRAGON (D Schwarz) hung out from the 200m. c) EMIRATE GINA (R Danielson) commenced to give ground to the field from the 200m. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Jockey J R Syster (ODE TO THE OCEAN) did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. Thereafter, Jockey J R Syster reported that he felt something amiss with this filly in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Jockey K Matsunyane reported that he felt something amiss with EMERALD PRINCESS in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) TIPSY TARRAGON (D Schwarz), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A P Peter advised (MS).
