THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JP TWO THOUSAND (S Khumalo) jumped into the right-side of the gate, dislodging the Rider. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected, JP TWO THOUSAND (S Khumalo) jumped awkwardly inwards making contact with the right-side front gate. As a result, Jockey S Khumalo was severely unbalanced and dislodged from JP TWO THOUSAND. Jockey S Khumalo was attended to by the Course Paramedics, thereafter transported to the Medical Centre for further examination and dispatched to hospital for X-rays. Rule 25.12 was applied. This incident precluded Jockey S Khumalo from weighing in. The Board, acting in terms of Rule 66.2, deemed his weight to be correct. b) GLOBAL IMPACT (D Schwarz), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee M Pandaram was advised (MduP). c) JP TWO THOUSAND(S Khumalo) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis (AH). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) GLOBAL IMPACT was ridden by Jockey D Schwarz (declared 14 May 2023 at 16H11).
