At the 250m, HEY BOY, which rolled out and SOCRATES, which shifted in marginally away from the crop at the 200m and sharply away from the crop approaching the 150m, came together and bumped. As a consequence of this incident, WINTER BLUES was carried in by HEY BOY. In deciding what action to take in the matter the Board took into account the following factors, the lateral distance between HEY BOY and SOCRATES at the time when Jockey Dillon shifted in, the fact that HEY BOY had rolled out thus contributing to the above incident, the corrective measures taken by Jockey Dillon and that, in the Board's opinion, the sharp nature of the above shift could not have been anticipated by Jockey Dillon. Accordingly, no further action was taken in this matter. CALVARY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. DI MAZZIO (AUS) raced in club colours with Stipes Permission.
