THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) En route to the start, AMOR PERDIDO dislodged Jockey R Danielson, bolted and was subsequently scratched.
b) At approximately the 700m, PRIMROSE PATH (C Habib) was steadied and switched in to avoid running onto the heels of NAKA ISLAND (M Thackeray).
c) At approximately the 200m, LOOK TO THE STARS (J R Syster) was eased when awkwardly placed between UNITED'S RANSOM (M Yeni), which rolled out, and ZOOM LADY (G Lerena), which was carried in by SPARKLING JUBILEE (D De Gouveia), which shifted in.
Jockey D De Gouveia appeared before the Board and was advised to take earlier corrective measures when shifting ground, in future.
d) TOGETHER AGAIN (S Khumalo) hung out in the concluding stages.
e) In the concluding stages, PRIMROSE PATH (C Habib) shifted out away from the crop.
Jockey C Habib appeared before the Board and was advised to take earlier corrective measures when straightening his horses, in future.
f) In view of the performance of ZOOM LADY (G Lerena), (distance 6,35 lengths, betting 11/10), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
Trainer A G Laird was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of ZOOM LADY on return to stables.
g) SPARKLING JUBILEE (D De Gouveia), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer P Dlhamini, acting on behalf of Trainer M F de Kock, was advised (LK).

a) UNITED'S RANSOM was ridden by Jockey M Yeni (declared 29 May 2023 at 07H59).
b) LOOK TO THE STARS was ridden by Jockey J R Syster (declared 30 May 2023 at 08H15).
c) NAKA ISLAND was ridden by Jockey M Thackeray (declared 30 May 2023 at 10H11).

a) DOUBLE JOY raced with a cornell collar (declared 24 May 2023), without a compression mask and a tongue tie (declared 29 May 2023 at 16H31).
