THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, KAMBULU (C Habib) broke through the front gates, was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and subsequently scratched. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer S G Tarry was advised (GT). b) LE FORT BION (M van Rensburg) was restless in the stalls. c) LE FORT BION (M van Rensburg), GOING GLOBAL (M Thackeray), ALL BLACK CAPTAIN (*P Mxoli), BLYDE RIVER (B Nyawo) and LEAO ALADO (J R Syster) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In view of the Starter's report with regard to KAMBULU, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion. Suspension dates: 31 May 2023 to 6 June 2023. KAMBULU may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer S G Tarry was advised. b) JUST VAR (R Danielson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee K Whittington was advised (LK).
