THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FRENCH PRINCESS (T Godden) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) ARCTIC PRINCESS (C F Dicken) bounded on 2 occasions in the early stages. b) CHELSEA BLUE (S Veale) over- raced in the early and middle stages. c) In view of the performance of CHELSEA BLUE (S Veale) (6.35 lengths, 11/2 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) The Board has adjourned to consider penalty with regard to Jockey S Khumalo's (SILVER CLOCK) crop use in this race. e) SILVER CLOCK (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F Bronkhorst advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Jockey A Mgudlwa replaced Jockey R Khathi on TWICE AS WILD (Stewards' permission:- advised 31.05.23/13h26). Jockey R Khathi was unable to draw the carded weight due to an extended power outage since yesterday at his place of residence and thereafter load shedding on course from 12 - 2pm.
