THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WARRIOR OF ROYALTY (R Khathi) was stubborn to load. Lost 1 length. b) EGYPTIAN MAU (C Zackey) was stubborn to load. Trainer M N Houdalakis was advised to re-school this filly (TM). c) GUY GIBSON (M Yeni) and THE AFRICA HOUSE (S Khumalo) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start the left side cheek piece was detached from THE AFRICA HOUSE (S Khumalo). b) An Inquiry will be opened into why EGYPTIAN MAU (C Zackey), THE AFRICA HOUSE (S Khumalo) and GUY GIBSON (M Yeni) suffered interference leaving the 400m. c) In the concluding stages THE AFRICA HOUSE (S Khumalo) was inconvenienced when it improved onto the heels of EGYPTIAN MAU (C Zackey). d) Jockey R Khathi reported that WARRIOR OF ROYALTY did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) LUCKY LAD (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
