THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FASINADA (*D B Geerthsen) was unruly and refused load. The starting stall certificate for this mare has been withdrawn. Trainer B Webber was advised (GT). b) UNITED EXPRESS (*K A Brewer) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GODFATHER (J R Syster) and STORM JEWEL (D Schwarz) brushed leaving the stalls. b) Shortly after the start, CALL THE WIND (G Lerena) was squeezed out when awkwardly placed between GREGOR MACGREGOR (J P van der Merwe) and SPEECHMAKER (B Nyawo), which rolled in. c) UNITED EXPRESS (*K A Brewer) commenced to over-race at the 1100m. d) CALL THE WIND (G Lerena) hung out on the latter part of the turn. e) GODFATHER (J R Syster) hung out in the concluding stages. f) In view of the Starter's report with regard to FASINADA, this mare's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion. Suspension dates: 9 June 2023 to 15 June 2023. FASINADA may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
