THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ROSE FOR TRIPPI (K de Melo) and ROZARA (M Yeni) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 300m, MAY QUEEN (M van Rensburg) was steadied and directed inwards in anticipation of being awkwardly placed on the heels of MYTHICAL DREAM (D De Gouveia), which hung out from the 400m. b) Jockey K de Melo reported that he felt something amiss with ROSE FOR TRIPPI in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) SILVER WINTER (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S Moffatt advised (LK). When questioned regarding the improved performance of SILVER WINTER, Trainer S Moffatt could offer the Board no suitable explanation. His attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to In and Out running. JOCKEY CHANGES: a) WINGS OF NIKE was ridden by Jockey K Matsunyane (declared 13 June 2023 at 09H13). b) SILVER WINTER: Jockey C Habib weighed out at 55,3kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.
