SILVANO'S PRIDE broke through the front gate before the start was effected, resulting in the starter calling a false start. A false start was called when SILVANO'S PRIDE broke through front gate of stall eight before the start was effected. All horses were restrained within 200m, returned to the start, examined by the veterinary surgeon and allowed to settle before being reloaded, causing a delay. In view of the report from the Starter regarding SILVANO'S PRIDE, Trainer Snaith was advised to have this filly re-schooled before her next engagement. There was a further delay to the start of this race as the right front shoe on PLATINUM CLASS had to be replaced. Jockey Fayd'Herbe reported that he felt something amiss with PLATINUM CLASS. SILVANO'S PRIDE and GOLDEN CHANCE were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: PLATINUM CLASS - cast right front shoe. DYNAMIC DIANA - cast left front shoe.
