THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process TURBO POWER (C Maujean) bolted a short distance behind the stalls. Brought in hand, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and loaded. Stable employee S A Habib acting on behalf of Trainer S G Tarry was advised to re-school this colt (SN). b) RUSSIAN WRITER (C F Dicken) jumped awkwardly and lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) TORRONE (K de Melo) which was hanging out, raced wide around the turn and into the straight. b) OSHAKATI (S Moodley) was hanging in from the 350m. c) At the 100m, TURBO POWER (C Maujean) and ONE IRISH ROVER (M V'Rensburg) came together and brushed. d) TURBO POWER (C Maujean), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
