THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) After reviewing the start with regards to HAWK CIRCLE (+L Burke) in stall gate 7, the Stewards were satisfied that all stalls had opened simultaneously, this gelding had gained no advantage and therefore took no further action. b) MISTY CLIFFS (+C Austin) raced wide on the turn and into the straight. c) Approaching the 400m HAWK CIRCLE (+L Burke), which was directed inwards, was crowded for galloping room on the inside of DEVIL A SAINT (+A Ndlebe), which shifted inwards simultaneously. d) Work Rider A Ndlebe was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on DEVIL A SAINT. Work Rider A Ndlebe signed an admission of guilt and was given a warning. In determining penalty, the Stewards took into consideration that this was a Work Rider's race. e) Work Rider M Sigenu was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on LORD FYFIELD.
