THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PRINCESS PHILIPPA (*P Mxoli) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) KAYLA'S CHAMP (D Schwarz) and GOLDEN ASPEN (M van Rensburg) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) BENGUELA COVE (J Gates), which was encouraged forward to overcome a wide draw, raced clear and in advance of the field and compounded from the 400m. b) Jockey M Yeni reported that ROZARA did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey J Gates reported that BENGUELA COVE did not stride out freely in running.
