THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed due to the thirty-minute interval between races, the delay in the previous race and the late jockey changes. b) Steady rain fell prior to and during the running of this race. c) Shortly after the start YGRITTE (M Yeni) was bumped by NOTORIX (D Ashby), which jumped inwards. d) In view of the performance of COASTAL PATH (R Fourie) (Betting 15/4 ; Distance 8.35 lengths) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) WARBONNET CREEK (IRE), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
