THE STARTER REPORTED: a) NUCLEAR FORCE (J P van der Merwe), WONDERWORLD (G Lerena) and ALLTHEWAYFROMUSA (*K A Brewer) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) DEVILISH DANCER (K Matsunyane) failed to muster speed and trailed the field throughout. Thereafter, Jockey K Matsunyane reported that this mare took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer S J Gray will be requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of DEVILISH DANCER on return to stables. b) THE INKOSANA (*S Sosibo) hung in from the 300m. c) Jockey G Lerena reported that he felt something amiss with WONDERWORLD in running.
