THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey F Herholdt signed an Admission of Guilt for contravening Rule 55.4, read in conjunction with the guidelines on overweight, in that he failed to make the carded weight confirmed in his riding engagement to ride ELMHURST for Trainer B Stidolph. Fined $50. b) ELMHURST (F Herholdt) over raced in the early and middle stages c) During the running of the race, it was established that the inside running rail between the 700m and 600m had blown over. d) DUCHESS OF WAR, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
