THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MARINA (C Orffer) lost 3 lengths. b) AMEENA (C Zackey) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) EMIRATE GINA (M Yeni) raced tight on the inside of DESERT MIRACLE (C Soumillon) for a number of strides at the 700m. b) FEATHER BOA (G Lerena) was briefly held up and was directed outwards to secure a clear run at the 350m. c) Leaving the 300m, AMEENA (C Zackey) was inconvenienced when in close proximity to the heels of EMIRATE GINA (M Yeni) which rolled in. d) Jockey D Schwarz reported that he felt something amiss with TIPSY TARRAGON in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the performances of MARINA (C Orffer) (10.35 lengths, 33/1 in the betting) and AMEENA (C Zackey) (12.05 ), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) PRINCESS CALLA (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
