THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MODERN MAGICIAN (JP van der Merwe) stood awkwardly in the stalls. b) MISS ROSE (L Mxothwa) was nervous in the stalls and rushed the front gates. c) CALLMEMRGREENLIGHT (L Nhlapo) and EMERALD FLAME (T Gould) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) JACKSON MISISSIPPI (D Schwarz) raced very wide on the early part of the turn when carried outwards by CALLMEMRGREENLIGHT (L Nhlapo), which was hanging out and proved difficult to assist. b) MR BODACIOUS (S Khumalo) was hanging in in the straight. c) Jockey D Schwarz's (JACKSON MISISSIPPI) crop was accidentally struck from his hand by Jockey L Nhlapo (CALLMEMRGREENLIGHT) at the 100m. d) MISS ROSE (L Mxothwa) returned suffering from a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1.
