THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CRUZADOR (S Khumalo) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) EL ROMIACHI (K Steyn) shifted out away from the crop at the 250m and had to be straightened. b) Shortly before the finish EYJAFJALLAJOKULL (G Pieterse) was directed outwards when awkwardly placed on the outside of PRINCE VIHAAN (J Jacobs). c) Jockey R Fourie reported that CAITLYNS BOY did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) DALEEL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DA McKenzie was advised. (LM) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) L Mxothwa (ROSA DOURADA) rode +0.5kg (56.9kgs) RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER a) Nil THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) CAITLYNS BOY - examined post-race. Nothing obvious detected. Trainer AC Greeff will be advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables. b) PRINCE VIHAAN - abnormal respiratory noise c) KUZNETZOV - mouth injury THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS
