THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STING RAY (R Fourie) and CAPTAIN'S CHRISTY (C F Dicken) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) WILL O ME (*S Hlengwa) was hanging in from the 400m. b) At the 300m, MIST IN SCOTLAND (*R A Venniker) which was hanging in from the 400m, was briefly carried in by MAQUETTE (S Veale) which rolled in. Thereafter Apprentice R A Venniker (MIST IN SCOTLAND) accidentally dropped her crop at the 100m. c) In view of the performance of MIST IN SCOTLAND (*R A Venniker) (8.20 lengths, 2/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockeys C Maujean (A TIME TO FLOWER) and C Habib (HEREINAFTER) reported their respective mounts faltered in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Apprentice M K Katjedi (CANDY FOR MY MOMMY) and Jockey M Yeni (BRIGHT STAR) reported their respective mounts did not act in the prevailing good to soft track condition. f) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning FORTUNE BAY, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for a period of 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Suspension dates (10.07.23 - 07.09.23 bdi). Assistant Trainer C Eudey acting on behalf of Trainer M D Miller was advised. g) CAPTAIN'S CHRISTY (C F Dicken), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M Dixon advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Apprentice S Hlengwa (WILL O ME) weighed out at 52.8kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
