THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) NEW MEXICO (J P van der Merwe) was stubborn loading. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer A G Laird was advised (GT).
b) SUGAR BLAST (*K A Brewer) was stubborn loading. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer M F de Kock is to be advised (GT).
c) CARE TAKER (K de Melo) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.
d) CALLABURN (C Zackey), POLICY OF TRUTH (M Yeni) and VIVA SPIRIT (G Lerena) were slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) CARE TAKER (K de Melo) hung in from the 200m.
b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to NEW MEXICO, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion.
Suspension dates: 16 July 2023 to 22 July 2023. NEW MEXICO may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer A G Laird was advised.
c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to SUGAR BLAST, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion.
