THE STARTER REPORTED: a) QUEEN JACKSON (R Khathi) was stubborn to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At approximately the 1800m, PRINCESS AZARIAH (*R A Venniker) which over-raced in the early stages had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed on the heels of THREE LITTLE BIRDS (D Daniels) which rolled in. b) At approximately the 1500m PRINCESS AZARIAH (*R A Venniker) which continued to over-race, had to be steadied to avoid running onto the heels of LADY CANTON (M Yeni) which was over-racing in the early and middle stages. c) ALEEYAH'S UNICORN (*S Hlengwa) raced wide around the turn and into the straight and thereafter compounded in the concluding stages. d) A TOUCH OF SUGAR (G Lerena) compounded from the 200m. In view of the performance of A TOUCH OF SUGAR (G Lerena) (25.05 lengths, 33/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) QUEEN JACKSON (R Khathi) failed to parade in front of the grandstand. Trainer F Robinson was advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in future, she may be suspended (DA). f) LADY CANTON (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
