THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VILLA SEMAYA (G Lerena) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) ZOOM LADY (J P van der Merwe) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. c) LEONESSA (S Khumalo) was slow losing two lengths. d) GREEN BUBBLES (J R Syster) and DRUMSKITT (C Maujean) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) VILLA SEMAYA (G Lerena) jumped awkwardly outwards leaving the stalls making contact with the left-side front gate. b) KIT KAT KATIE (D Schwarz) raced clear and in advance of the field. Thereafter, in the concluding stages, SHE'S A KLAWER (*P Mxoli) was steadied when awkwardly placed on the outside of a tiring KIT KAT KATIE (D Schwarz), and on the heels of COUNT YOUR CHANCES (C Zackey). c) Jockey J R Syster reported that GREEN BUBBLES made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) COUNT YOUR CHANCES (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
