THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FULLY LOADED (S Khumalo) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) IRONTAIL (*K A Brewer) took an awkward stride shortly after the start. b) Shortly after the start, RUN FOR ISLA (*M K Katjedi) was steadied and directed inwards to avoid the heels of FULLY LOADED (S Khumalo), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) FULLY LOADED (S Khumalo), which was baulked for a clear run from the 500m to the 350m, was directed outwards to continue its run at the 300m. d) In view of the performance of BROSNAN (C Zackey), (distance 6,25 lengths, betting 6/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) LULU'S BOY (D Schwarz), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
