THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ZOOMBOMBER (M van Rensburg) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) HERE IS THE TIGER (J R Syster) and RED CARPET GIRL (N Klink) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, HAPPY ANALIA (M Yeni) and SMELTING (P Mxoli) were bumped in by ZOOMBOMBER (M van Rensburg), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) At approximately the 700m, FULLIAUTOMATIX (*D B Geerthsen), had to ease and switch in when awkwardly placed on the heels of HAPPY ANALIA (M Yeni), which shifted out. As a consequence of this, ZOOMBOMBER (M van Rensburg), DELLA'S SWORD (*M K Katjedi) and SMELTING (P Mxoli) had to steady when carried in by FULLIAUTOMATIX (*D B Geerthsen). Jockey M Yeni was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of HAPPY ANALIA, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to FULLIAUTOMATIX (*D B Geerthsen) when he shifted out at approximately the 700m. Jockey M Yeni signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of seven (7) days. Suspension dates: To be advised. c) At approximately the 200m, ZOOMBOMBER (M van Rensburg) was steadied when awkwardly placed on the outside of DELLA'S SWORD (*M K Katjedi), which was carried in marginally by MIA REGINA (J Gates), which hung in from the 300m. The Board, after reviewing the incident, was satisfied that Jockey J Gates attempted to straighten his mount and deemed this to be a racing incident. d) HERE IS THE TIGER (J R Syster), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F Bronkhorst advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) FULLIAUTOMATIX: Apprentice D B Geerthsen weighed out at 52,7kg, only claiming 2kg of his 2,5kg allowance. b) ROCK ON CAPTAIN: Jockey Wes Marwing weighed out at 53.8kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) ROCK ON CAPTAIN raced with a tongue tie on (declared 1 August 2023 at 08H52). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) ZOOMBOMBER scalp wound left hind. b) RED CARPET GIRL coughing post race. c) RISKY BUSINESS coughing post race. SCRATCHED: a) LIL MISS MONEYBAGS ineligible, winner 27 July 2023, Turffontein Racecourse.
