THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 150m FULLY LOADED (G Lerena) was steadied in anticipation of a narrow run closing between FISH EAGLE (JP van der Merwe), which shifted out away from the crop and was straightened, and WRITTEN IN STONE (N Klink). Jockey JP van der Merwe (FISH EAGLE) appeared before the Board and was advised to take earlier corrective measures when his horse is shifting ground. b) Approaching the 100m GIMME ROYALTY (J Penny) was brushed out by WRITTEN IN STONE (N Klink), which rolled out. c) FORT LAUDERDALE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
