THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) PRINCESS OZMA (C Zackey) was hanging in from the 400m. b) Jockey D Daniels (SPRING KISS) accidentally dropped his crop at the 300m. c) In view of the performances of GREEN DREAM (3.15 lengths, 16/1 in the betting) and PERFECT TRUST (1.85 lengths, 10/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) SHE'S NOT EASY (*R A Venniker) played up and dislodged Apprentice R A Venniker when exiting the parade ring. SHE'S NOT EASY then bolted the course, was brought in hand, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and subsequently withdrawn. Trainer M L Roberts was advised that, in terms of Rule 93.2.4, this filly is suspended until such time as it proves tractable whilst cantering to the start, on a race day to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Board (RH). e) Trainer C Hewitson signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 8.3.1 in that he failed to ensure that the owner's colours were available for PERFECT TRUST. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R250 was imposed. f) FAIZAH (A Mgudlwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) advised (BB). g) CRAZY BLUES (C Maujean), placed third, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L W Goosen advised (JN) JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Jockey D Schwarz (GREEN DREAM) weighed out at 55.8kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
