MAROON BELLS and TYRELLS BULLET were slow into stride. TYRELLS BULLET commenced to over-race in the middle stages. In view of the performance of BELLAGIO KING, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer Fortune was requested to report back to the Board on the condition of this gelding on return to stables. IDEAL MAN hung in from the 500m. TUSCAN LIGHT hung in from the 250m. IMPERIAL RUBY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. In reviewing this gelding's form, the Board was of the view that, his previous run was best ignored as, he ducked out sharply and ran up the chute in a 2600m race at Turffontein. However, today IMPERIAL RUBY confirmed his tractability shown when re-passed as tractable galloping with a companion on a raceday, prior to the acceptances of this race. IDEAL MAN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning TYRELLS BULLET, this gelding is suspended for a period of sixty days. Jockey van Rensburg who originally accepted this ride, was charged with a contravention in that he failed to fulfil his riding engagement. Jockey van Rensburg signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine was imposed. MAROON BELLS raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind. IMPERIAL RUBY raced equipped with alumites. Vet: BELLAGIO KING - examined post race, nothing obvious detected. MAGIC VISION - post race distress. TYRELLS BULLET - bilateral epistaxis, recommended 60 day suspension. Scratched: SHANE - ineligible, winner 21 November 2019 Vaal Racecourse. FIERCE FIGHTER and AMANDLA - Stewards permission. Staff issues due to the grooms protest action.
